Ableton Live Tutorial: Setting Up Live for Use with a Worship Band

Here's a video tutorial that explains how I set up Ableton Live for our worship bands. This setup allows a band member to easily start and stop click and loop tracks using only the numeric keys and space bar. Check it out here:

Your video on clicks and loops using Ableton was very helpful and informative. I'm working on getting a consistent set-up for the worship band "gigs" that I do, and seeing you lay it all out like that was extremely helpful (and timely too!). Thanks for the wonderful tutorial!

Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you found the video helpful. When I started using Live, I spent hours trying to figure out how to get it running smoothly so I'm just trying to help others avoid all that hassle.

You could use this same setup to create a "Master" live set with a lot of songs in it. If I maximize the workspace in Live, I can get 36 total rows for songs. It may not be your entire catalog of songs but it could give you a lot of flexibility (especially if the set list isn't finalized). Of course once you go over 10 songs you run out of number keys and have to start mapping to letters but it still works fine!
